The Dawoodi Bohras are a Muslim community with a global presence of more than one million people across 40 countries worldwide. Our presence in Australia dates back to the 1950’s when a small number of families first settled in Sydney. Since then, the community has grown into a thriving and dynamic network of more than 400 families. A significant milestone in this journey was the establishment of our mosque in Auburn, inaugurated in 2000, which marked a period of meaningful growth, prosperity, and strengthened community life. Today, the Dawoodi Bohra community in Sydney represents a rich tapestry of cultures, experiences, and generations. Many of our members are multigenerational Australians who have been raised and educated here, and continue to make valuable contributions to broader Australian society.

Our presence in Australia begun in Sydney in the 1950s with just a handful of families. Over time, this has grown into a vibrant community of more than 400 families. Establishment of our mosque in Auburn in #### was an important milestone and brought considerable growth and prosperity to our community.
Today, the Dawoodi Bohra community in Sydney reflects a rich blend of journeys and generations. Many families are now multigenerational Australians who have grown and studied in Australia and are now working members of the community. Others are recent migrants who have sought to build a better life for themselves and their families in Sydney.
